Topeka (WIBW) - State health officials will discuss their plan for distributing the H1N1 vaccine in Kansas.
Kansas Dept. of Health and Environment Secretary Rod Bremby and Kansas State Health Officer Dr. Jason Eberhart-Phillips have scheduled a news conference for 1 pm Wednesday on the issue. It will take place at the Curtis State Office Building in downtown Topeka.
KDHE says officials will talk about the status of getting the H1N1 vaccine in Kansas and their plans for how people will be able to access the shots.
A KDHE spokesperson says the vaccine has not yet arrived in Kansas, but the state will be able to place its first order. Health officials had not expected to receive the vaccine until mid-October.
