Topeka (WIBW) - A group of citizens concerned about the health and fitness of fellow Kansans met Tuesday.
The Governor's Council on Fitness got together with Governor Mark Parkinson to talk about the fitness of Kansans. The governor shared his thoughts on exercising and also discussed the overall health of the state with the group.
Kansas Department of Health and Environment Secretary Rod Bremby says that it is difficult to get people motivated to move, but it is not as hard as people may thing.
Bremby says that putting fitness on the agenda is very important, especially since 66 percent of Americans are overweight.
