This week's Wednesday's Child is a polite, handsome young man named Michael.
Michael is 15-years old and says he likes school. His favorite subjects are math and practical law. But, he also says he enjoys spending time with his friends. He says they go the school gym whenever they can and play basketball. He also says they just enjoy walking around together.
After school, you'll still find Michael playing basketball. He says football is also a favorite sport. In fact, he plays football for his high school team at the wide receiver and corner positions.
Michael hopes to someday earn a scholarship and go to college. But that's still a few years away. In the meantime, he'd like to have an adoptive family. He's hoping for both a mom and a dad because he says when one's busy, he would have the other one to talk to.
But besides someone to listen, he's also hoping for parents who will show him respect. He says he, in return, will give them the love and respect they deserve.
If you'd like more information about Michael or any of the other children in need of adoption, call Kansas Children's Service League. You can also log onto their website at www.cominghomekansas.org.
