TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Schools also created fun ways to bring those under the age of 18 into today's election activities.
Elementary students at Topeka Collegiate waited in line to cast their ballots from the classroom.
Pictures of Barack Obama and Mitt Romney were illustrated on the ballot and kids marked their favorite candidate with a black marker and slipped it into their ballot box.
The theme of the day was "Feel the Power: Vote," to emphasize that each person's voice counts, and that voting should be exciting for each citizen.
