Voters living in Shawnee County can vote in advance now through Monday, November 5th, and for longer hours.
Election Commissioner Andrew Howell is reminding Shawnee County residents that his office is extending hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Election Office.
If voters cannot make it to the office they can request that an advanced ballot be mailed to them by November 2nd. For the vote to count, it must be sent back to the Election Office by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
Voters can either download an application from the county website at www.snco.us/election or call the office directly at (785) 266-0285. Applications may be returned by mail or faxed to the Election Office at (785) 266-0299.
The Election Office is not open Saturday or Sunday.
Showing photo identification is required to vote this year. Applications for advanced ballots must include a copy of the photo ID or the number of the applicant's driver's license or nondriver's license.
