Hannah Storm leaving CBS' 'Early Show'
Hannah Storm is leaving as co-anchor of CBS' "The Early Show" after five years of daybreak duty.

LOS ANGELES - Hannah Storm is leaving as co-anchor of CBS' "The Early Show" after five years of daybreak duty, the network said Wednesday.
Storm, 45, who was the show's co-anchor, is in discussions with the network to "determine the scope and depth of her new duties," CBS said in a statement.
Storm said she was glad to have teamed up with "some of the best in the business" on "The Early Show." In the statement released by CBS, she added that she was looking at other opportunities at the network.
Her final day on the show hasn't been decided, the network said.
Before she joined CBS News, Storm spent a decade as an anchor and reporter for NBC Sports and hosted broadcasts of four Olympic Games, three World Series and other major events.
Storm has been co-anchoring "The Early Show" with Harry Smith and Julie Chen. The show also includes news anchor Russ Mitchell and weatherman Dave Price.
In the ratings, CBS' morning show lags behind NBC's "Today" and ABC's "Good Morning America."

If the ratings are showing low compared to NBC and ABC networks, I don't think it was in any fault due to Ms. Storm. As a matter of fact, she added great depth to the show. I just wonder if she had any choice in the matter. If not, it's a shame. I don't think the replacement adds to the show's popularity. If anything, it takes away from it. She doesn't have the personality nor the professionalism that Hannah had. Thanks goodness they didn't get rid of Dave. And of course Julie doesn't have to worry about being replaced - does she? I really am disappointed in Hannah getting the 'axe!' I certainly hope she will be given sincere and serious consideration for another position. I really wouldn't blame her if she left CBS altogether! Thanks for letting me vent my views.
