Topeka (WIBW) - A jury found a Texas man guilty Wednesday on charges of raping a teenaged relative formerly from Topeka.

41-year old Ralf Mondonedo was found guilty on a total of 11 counts, including of one count of rape, six counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy with a child, one count of attempted aggravated incest and a count of misdemanor battery.

The girl became pregnant as a result of the incidents.

“I am grateful the jury held the defendant accountable for these unforgivable crimes,” said Shawnee County District Attorney Chad Taylor. “Today’s verdict offers some justice to the victim of this brutal crime and helps ensure our community and children’s safety.”

Mondonedo previously worked nearly four years for the Kansas Attorney General's office consumer protection division. His employment there ended in February of 2008.

Sentencing is set for January 14th.
