(WIBW) - A man is accused of shooting at agents with the FBI's Violenct Crimes Task Force.
26-year old Nicholas Henry is charged with one count of unlawful possession of a firearm after felony convictions.
According to an agent’s affidavit, task force members spotted Henry November 1 with a Red Dodge pickup truck near 151st and Ridgeview Road in Olathe. Henry was wanted on outstanding warrants from Johnson County, and the truck had been reported stolen.
When task force members approached Henry, authorities say he ran to the stolen truck, removed a handgun and a bulletproof vest and began firing at them. They returned fire. He was arrested and treated for gunshot wounds.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says Henry had convictions in Johnson and Douglas counties for burglary of a vehicle, forgery, attempted aggravated escape from custody, aggravated assault and felony theft.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Violent Crime Task Force made the arrest. Assistant U.S. Attorney Tris Hunt is prosecuting.

Are you kidding? This guy endangered many lives - the agents AND don't forget the customers inside the Subway who feared for their very lives. A rap sheet, a stolen vehicle, weapons AND a bullet proof vest proves this guy is absolutely NO GOOD and indeed a danger to all of society!
This isn't a "petty criminal". He has a rap sheet that includes convictions for assault, forgery, and felony theft. When the FBI agents from the violent crimes task force apprached him, he ran to the stolen truck, grabbed a bullet proof vest and a gun (which he was prohibited from even touching due to his prior felony convictions) and fired at the FBI agents. Thankfully, there are people brave enough to face dangerous men like Henry and get them off the streets so that the rest of us are safe. This guy was a danger to the community.
