Manhattan (WIBW) - The man accused of killing a woman and her young child is back in Kansas.

Luis Aguirre was arrested in Austin, Texas last Friday.

Riley County Police said Friday that Aguirre has been transferred to the Riley County Jail. He is being held on a $2.5 million bond.

Aguirre is accused of killing 18-year-old Tanya Maldonado and her 15-month old son, Juan. A hunter found their bodies buried in a shallow grave near Ogden almost two weeks ago.

Police say Aguirre had a relationship with Maldonado. He had moved to Ogden within the past year.

Authorities still haven't said how Maldonado and her son died or how long their bodies were buried before being discovered.
