Topeka (WIBW) - A Topeka woman put on probation for sexually abusing a 13-year-old boy in Topeka is being extradicted to New Mexico.

39-year-old Jennifer Liskey will face illegal conduct charges in that state for alleged relations with the same boy involved in the Shawnee County case.

Liskey was a paraprofessional at Robinson Middle School when the alleged relationship began. She was given a 30-month suspended prison sentence and ordered to 60 days in jail and probation. The jail term was set to end Tuesday.

Shawnee County District Attorney Chad Taylor says the sentence is not typical and that is why he is appealing it.

An indictment in New Mexico charges Liskey with criminal sexual penetration. It was filed August 7 by a Las Cruces, New Mexico detective.

The indictment says the alleged incident occurred when the child and his family were in New Mexico on vacation and were visiting Liskey, who was in New Mexico with the National Guard at the time.

Liskey is set to be extradicted by November 18th.
