SALINA, Kan. (AP) _ The Saline County Sheriff's Office is looking for several men who they say cashed forged checks worth more than $40,000.
Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski says the checks were stolen before they were cashed at Salina-area banks and other businesses. He says the suspects were Hispanic men who might have been working together.
So far, the total loss is more than $40,400. But Kochanowski says the men likely have more checks in their possession.
The checks are believed to have been stolen between June 15 and June 22.
