Judge Delays Preliminary Hearing for Accused Kidnapper
Robert Abner, 39, is charged with the abduction and rape of a Viola store clerk. His preliminary hearing was scheduled for Monday, but has been delayed.

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ A judge delays Monday's preliminary hearing for a Wichita man accused of kidnapping and raping an area convenience store clerk.
No new date for Robert Abner's, 39, hearing had been set by Monday morning. Abner is charged in the June 23rd abduction of a clerk at a convenience store in Viola. He was arrested July 9th in Oregon.
Abner is charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery, two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, and six counts of rape.
The woman told authorities that she was held at a Wichita house until she was released outside her pastor's home three days later.
