A man was injured when hit by what what detectives say was either a bullet or roman candle.

It happened last night in Topeka while the man was sitting in his car at Park South Apartments on Southwest Park South Court.

Police say the victim arrived on his own at Stormont Vail's emergency room with a grazing gun shot wound to his arm.

Witnesses say they believe that the victim and suspect opened fire on each other in the parking lot.

Detectives are continuing to work this case.

They say they are investigating the possibility that the men were shooting roman candles at each other and not bullets.

No arrests have been made.
