LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) _ Lawrence police say they've located the driver of a car that fled a fatal weekend crash and are preparing to turn their reports over to prosecutors.

Investigators used vehicle parts scattered at the scene of Sunday morning's two-vehicle crash to identify the suspected hit-run driver. The 22-year-old suspect from Lawrence had not been arrested Monday night.

Thomas Crum of Lawrence died soon after his car was struck by an SUV, which fled the scene. Crum's car slammed into the side of a building, and he later died at a Kansas City-area hospital.

Family members say Crum's car was struck as he headed home from his 60th birthday celebration.
