i know first hand how this affecting this family. i am wha you would say the child's serrogate aunt, and i agree with all of you, he should be locked up for life, not to be let out to hurt another innocent child!!!!!! some people say they feel sorry for him thatb he will never see his children grow up. well he obviously was not thinking about his children when he did what he did. the thought of him ever getting out SICKENS me!!!!! this child is so precious just like any other child and did not deserve this. here she and her family are suffering probablly for the rest of their lives, while all he has to do is live safely off of my tax dollars. what a justice system!!!!! maybe he and the rest of the sickos should be sent overseas instead of our soldiers. yea fight for YOUR life!!!!!!! All i know is that this family is so much better off without him!!!!!!!

He was arrested ONE week before Jessica's law took effect so they can't sentence him under that law. Too bad! I'm sure the fellas at the prisons are waiting with a special welcome for him.

The man should be casterated. This child was still a baby in my eyes as a mom. 12-14 yrs? Other inmates use to kill guys like this in prision, now he will go to a special ward so they wont kill him. Meanwhile this young child will be scared for the rest of her life.

I would have to agree if this jerk admitted to doing this, Lock him up and throw away the key. I am a mother of seven, Kids are not disposable and should not be treated like that. My heart goes out to her and her family.

Shawnee County district judges have not been apologetic about diving below sentencing guidelines in handing out extremely lenient sentences for the rape of children. Here is one case that justifies exceeding sentencing guidelines, say 20 years instead of 14, to keep the parole board from turning this dangerous, violent pervert loose on our children again too soon. Watch the sentencing next month. Another lenient sentence for raping a child should provoke another campaign for NO on retention of the judge, for sure.

HOW COULD HE ONLY GET 12 - 14 YEARS? THIS MAN WILL BE OUT BY THE TIME HIS VICTIM IS A TEENAGER. WHY DO WE CONTINUE TO TREAT THE CHILDREN OF THIS COUNTRY AS DISPOSABLE?
