KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) _ A former school librarian from Leavenworth is sentenced to 17 1/2 years in prison for producing child pornography, including pictures of him having sex with a 10-year-old girl he tutored.

Anthony Baker pleaded guilty in October to one count of producing child pornography. He was sentenced Monday.

The 36-year-old Baker was charged after his wife found evidence on his computer that he was collecting child pornography and chatting online with underage girls.

After Baker's wife turned the computer over to law enforcement, investigators found images of Baker and the girl engaged in sex.

Baker admitted that he began tutoring the girl when she was a student at a Leavenworth elementary school.

He also has to pay about $16,000 for the victim's counseling.

Praise to the wife of this sick individual,it took a lot of courage to do this,Thank God she did this, but I must agree with Cornstalk this is all that he gets?? something is wrong with our criminal justice if this is all this deviant is going to get. Children are all of our futures no matter where they are, if we do not start to impose harsher sentences to these immoral people, our future along with all of our children's future will be washed away and we will have no one to blame but ourselves. We must all stand up and protect not only our own children but all the children of the world, after all isn't this what God expects us to do??

don't know these people, don't like to judge these people. Hopefully this child will live a natural life from here on. I know from experience that children are easily posessed by older people, especially people with his position. Its hard to raise a perfect child, with this added to his life. He made it harder for the parents to raise that child. The child will some point in his/her life resent his mother and father for not being aware or not being their. "For God So Love The World" Would you blame God for being angry with the world? I know, not all of us are the same. Who can we trust?

Porn needs to be totally taken off the internet.the But that will never happen. What good does porn do? Nothing. It's nasty, degrading, disusting. My how this world has changed. No morals anymore. Sex is a private thing. Should be something shared with 2 married people. Not in todays world. I wonder how much longer God is going to allow all this evil to happen in the world? No wonder we have thousands of sexual preditors out there.

My heart goes out to this fool's wife. She did a very brave thing considering a lot of women would have hid the facts and covered for their husbands. This case may never have been resolved had she not come forward with what she found. I hope things go well for her in future. She chose the hard road and I hope doing the right thing get's her rewarded down the road from here.

I know this guy and I can't believe that he would do something like this. I agree that is not nearly enough time or money for what he has done to this child.

$16,000 and 17 1/2 years does not seem like a big enough sentence for someone taking advantage of a child. This makes me ill.
