Lyon County prosecutors are charging a Topeka man in December's death of a teenaged goose hunter. Prosecutors say 57 year old Thomas Kent is charged with one felony count of involuntary manslaughter and misdemeanor counts of criminally firing a rifle, criminal hunting and attempted unlawful taking of wildlife.
Emporia State student Beau Arndt of Americus was killed lastmonth while he and two friends were lying in a field waiting for geese. The teens had just laid out decoys on the ground. Ardnt's friends say a red and orange pickup truck stopped along a nearby road and someone inside fired a rifle shot into the decoys, killing Arndt.
