Wildcats win final game of Sunflower Showdown

LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Kansas State Wildcats scored 10 runs on 15 hits in a 10-3 win over Kansas in the Sunflower Showdown finale Sunday.

K-State scored in all but two innings.

The Wildcats managed to score one run in the first and one run in the second inning off sacrifice flies.

Things opened up in the third inning, when Josh Rolette double to the gap in right-center to score two. Josh Ethier followed it up with an RBI single.

Starting pitcher Kasey Ford went 7.0 innings and surrendered just four hits.

KU did manage to get three runs in the eighth inning.
