TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) — Hayden High's Zach Harvey, the second best basketball recruit in the state, was charged last year in Sedgwick Co. with two felony sex crimes involving an underage girl.

Harvey was charged in late 2017 with unlawfully possessing a sexually explicit picture or video of a child under the age of 18 as well as promoting a 15 year-old child to perform sexually explicit acts. Both of the charges are listed as felonies.

The complaint says Harvey was 16-years-old at the time of the allegations. He has since turned 17.

Harvey was due in court on Thursday for a Juvenile Pre-Trial Conference, but that hearing was continued until May 29.

Right now, Harvey has offers from Kansas, Creighton, UCLA, Kansas State, and other top Division I schools.

Hayden High has not returned a request for comment.
