MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Sean Snyder, K-State associate head coach and special teams coordinator, gave his first public statement on Wednesday, since his son Matthew died by suicide in January.
Snyder tweeted out, "Wanda and I want to share our deepest thanks for the Love, Thoughts, and Prayers that so many of you have shared with our family. There are no words that comfort of mend the emptiness we have. It has been comforting to hear the stories of Matthew sharing his heart and laughter with so many people."
Matthew Snyder was 22-years old.
"He always had a big heart, a desire to help others, and to have fun. We will forever miss him," wrote Sean Snyder.
Sean is the son of current K-State football coach Bill Snyder.
