Landry Shamet drafted 26th by the 76ers

BROOKLYN (WIBW) -- Wichita State guard Landry Shamet was selected 26th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2018 NBA Draft on Thursday.

Shamet declared for the NBA draft after his sophomore season, where he averaged 14.9 points and 5.2 assist per game.

The 6'5" Shamet capped his career with Wichita State being named an honorable mention All-American by the Associated Press and 3rd team All-American by USA Today. Shamet was also named first team all-conference in each of his two seasons with the Shockers, 2017 in the Missouri Valley Conference and 2018 in the American Athletic Conference.
