(WIBW) -- The University of Kansas and Kansas State University each had two members of their respective football teams earn Preseason All-Big 12 Honors.

K-State offensive lineman Dalton Risner and defensive back Kendall Adams will represent the Wildcats, while linebacker Joe Dineen Jr. and defensive tackle Daniel Wise will represent the Jayhawks.

This is the second-straight year that Risner, a Preseason All-American by a number of publications, has been named to the Preseason All-Big 12 team, while Adams is a first-time honoree.

With the honors, Wise and Dineen become the first KU duo to be awarded since 2009 (Dezmon Briscoe and Darrell Stuckey).

Dineen also picked up 2017 Second Team All-America honors from Sports Illustrated, becoming the first Jayhawk to do so since Aqib Talib in 2007.

Big 12 Football Media Day is Tuesday in Frisco, Texas.
