K-State's Kendall Adams named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Kansas State junior safety Kendall Adams was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Adams had two defensive touchdowns in K-State's 55-7 win over Charlotte.

This is Adams' first-career weekly conference honor.

Adams returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter against the 49ers and the in the second quarter he picked up a fumble and returned it 46 yards for a touchdown.

The last K-State Wildcat to have a fumble recovery for a touchdown and an interception for a score in the same game was Dyshod Carter in 1999.
