K-State women's basketball team to host Mid-Summer Bash

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Kansas State Athletics announced today that the women's basketball program will be hosting a special Mid-Summer Bash on July 15th from 5-7 p.m.

The event is free and features free food and games, as well as a chance to meet the 2018-19 women's basketball team and coaching staff.

Acitivies will include a dunk tank, inflatable games, a money machine, a photo booth, face paint and other carnival games. Willie the Wildcat will also make a special appearance, and fans of all ages are invited to take part. The team will sign autographs during the event.

According to a press release from KSU Athletics, "Kansas State concluded the 2017-18 season with an 18-16 overall record and a Round of 16 appearance in the 2018 WNIT. This was the fourth straight season the Wildcats reached the postseason under the direction of head coach Jeff Mittie.

The Wildcats ranked among the top-35 in the nation for average attendance for the 17th consecutive season in 2017-18.

K-State will return eight letter winners from the 2017-18 season for the 2018-19 season, led by All-Big 12 selections Kayla Goth, Peyton Williams and Rachel Ranke. The Wildcats will also welcome in its highest ranked recruiting class during Mittie’s tenure with four freshmen: Christianna Carr, Ayoka Lee, Laura Macke and Savannah Simmons joining the roster for next season."
