LUBBOCK, Texas (WIBW) -- The Texas Tech Red Raiders completed the three-game sweep of Kansas State with a 9-6 win in Lubbock Sunday.

Kansas State had a 3-1 lead heading to the fourth, but a three-run home run pushed Texas Tech ahead and they would never relinquish the lead.

Tech scored seven unanswered runs between the fourth and seventh innings. During that time, the Red Raiders held the Wildcats hitless.

The Red Raiders outscored the Wildcats 56-16 in the series. The 56 runs are the most a K-State team has allowed in a three-game series dating back to 1904 when game-by-game results are available.

The second-most runs allowed in a series came in 1996 when K-State was outscored 51-17 in three games by Oklahoma State.
