Harris, Reesing, Brown to join KU's Ring of Honor

LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) -- University of Kansas athletics and the K Club announced plans on Monday to honor three Jayhawk legends and two historic KU football teams.

Chris Harris Jr. Todd Reesing and Larry Brown will be added to the Ring of Honor at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium during home games this season.

KU will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1968 team that earned a trip to the Orange Bowl, along with the 10-year anniversary of the 2008 Insight Bowl Champions.

The entire KU team from the 2008 season will be celebrated at the season opener along with Harris. The Jayhawks play Nicholls State on Sept. 1.

Reesing, the owner of 14 school records, will be honored on Sept. 15, when KU hosts Rutgers.

Brown will be honored on Oct. 27 during KU's matchup against TCU, along with the 1968 team he was a member of.
