ESU routs Northeastern State 44-7

EMPORIA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Emporia State Hornets scored less than three minutes into Saturday's game against Northeastern State and never really slowed down.

The Hornets beat the RiverHawks 44-7 in a game they outgained Northeastern by nearly 400 yards.

ESU racked up 541 yards of offense, making it their fifth game in a row with 500 or more yards.

Braxton Marstall completed 21 passes for 315 yards and three touchdowns.

On the ground, Kai Callins rushed for 72 yards and two scores.

The Hornets had two 100-yard receivers, Jordan Reed and Justin Brown. Brown hauled in two touchdowns while Reed caught another.
