Bods move to 5-1 after win over Mo. Southern

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Washburn Ichabods recorded a season-high 570 yards of total offense in a 49-21 win over Missouri Southern Saturday.

Washburn improves to 5-1 this season.

The Ichabods opened the scoring with 9:11 left in the first quarter when Blake Peterson found Jake Horner in the end zone for a 13-yard touchdown pass.

On the ensuing possession, D.J. Olmstead picked off the first of his two passes to set up another Washburn TD.

Olmstead had an interception returned for a touchdown in the second half. It was his fifth INT of the season.
