Your Letters: Nothing looked the same by Steven Christian

(SUBMITTED) - Like it was yesterday, I can remember my family and others running to Church of Christ on 12th and Lane.

We all were in the basement and as I was looking out the window it got dark outside immediately, suddenly one of the men snatched me away from the window. Then, it became really loud outside.

It seemed like forever but it was only seconds if my memory serves me right. Then I can remember walking out the church and nothing looked the same, trees uprooted cars on their sides or upside down, power lines down everywhere.

We were actually lucky in Tennessee Town because if that tornado would have been three or four blocks to the west we would have taken a direct hit.
