FORT RILEY, Kan. (WIBW) -- Fort Riley is getting a boost in bolstering its outdoor areas.

ATVs took center stage on Friday as the Yamaha Motor Corporation presented the post a grant to improve the existing trails and signage at Fort Riley's ATV range.

Yamaha's Outdoor Access Initiative works with groups to protect, improve, expand, or maintain safe and sustainable use by motorized off-road vehicles.

It's the second time they've received one of Yamaha's grants and they're the only military installation ever to receive the honor.

Fort Riley received $10,400 for the project.
