WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) — Wichita police have arrested the 41-year-old father of a teenager who was shot and killed over the weekend.

Authorities say the father and son, both of whom were not identified, were arguing in their front yard, near 21st Street and I-135, Sunday when the teen was shot. Police say the teen was found with a gunshot wound near 23rd Street and Looman Street around 9:00 p.m.

The teen was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, Wichita police said.

A third person was reportedly in the yard at the time, but was not involved in the argument or shooting, authorities said.

No one else was hurt in the incident.
