TOPEKA (WIBW) -- Veterans have given their all for our country, and sometimes later on, they get into legal situations they may not always be well versed to handle.
That's why Washburn Law Clinic is open to help veterans this Saturday morning, February 13th. Hours will be from 9:00am till Noon in the First Floor Commons area of the Law School at 17th and MacVicar.
The students will assist the veterans with any issues they may have on their wills, living wills, or the topic of Durable Powers of Attorney. (see our video on the Ralph Hipp red couch show from last Friday.)
Some veterans who were found guilty in Shawnee County Court only may be eligible for some help on expunging their arrest or conviction, in cases where that is holding them back on housing or employment opportunities.
Veterans may call Washburn Law School at 785-670-1191 if they have questions.
You should bring the proof of your military connection, and participants must meet the financial eligibility requirements.
