WAMEGO, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Wamego Police Dept. has confirmed the contents of a bottle of candy they warned the public about in early December contained methamphetamine.
At the time, police said several people had reported the small baby bottle-shaped candy had a chemical taste. Some even reported suffering adverse reactions.
According to an update on their Facebook page, the powdery substance that was in the bottle, which is supposed to be sugar, tested positive for methamphetamine.
The label said the candy was made in Mexico and police say it was delivered on the Harvesters food truck.
Police and the DEA are still investigating the incident.
