Two injured in Brown Co. wreck

BROWN COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW)- Two people were hurt in a crash in Brown County Wednesday morning.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 53-year old Daniel Post of Hiawatha was westbound in the 1700 block of on 240th Road near Mulberry Road, when he lost control due to icy conditions.

KHP says Post's Dodge Dakota pickup went into a ditch and rolled multiple times, before coming to a rest in a nearby field.

Post, along with a passenger in his truck, identified as 53-year old Dorsey Simpson of Independence, MO, were taken to Hiawatha Community Hospital for injuries.

Their conditions have not been released.

KHP says neither Post nor Simpson were wearing their seat belts.
