As we wrap up the school year, a sure sign of summer is the carnival at the Kansas Expocentre. It is open now through Sunday, May 29 and is open weekdays 6 p.m. - 11 p.m., weekends 1 p.m. - 11 p.m.
Tuesday is the second 2016 monthly Mobile Food Distribution put on by Randel Ministries, Harvesters and Family of God Church. Food will be distributed beginning at 9 a.m. at 1231 NW Eugene St., Topeka. Volunteers should arrive at 8:30 a.m.
The Capitol Midweek Farmers Market is Wednesday on the south side of the Statehouse from 7:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
This is Family Fun Friday at the Kansas Children's Discovery Center. The fourth Friday of each month, the center stays open late- to 9 p.m.- for extra fun exploring, building, painting, and playing.
Emporia's Farmers Market Saturday mornings is from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. in the parking lot at 7th and Merchant in Downtown Emporia.
