Thieves steal more than $4k from MHK trucking co. using forged checks

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) Authorities in Manhattan are searching for two men who used forged checks to steal more than $4,000 from an area trucking company.

The Riley County Police Department says the incident happened last month.

Officials say the theft happened in the 1800 block of Claflin Road at the United Bank and Trust. They say two male suspects used forged business checks to withdraw $4,332.00.

The report lists the bank and Studer Truck Line as victims.

RCPD says they have identified the two subjects involved, but their names have not been released.
