HAYS, Kan. (KWCH ) -- A 14-year-old is in custody following a threat made against Hays High School, according to Ellis County Attorney Tom Drees.
In a statement sent Saturday, Drees said Hays Police were notified Monday about an alleged threat made against the school.
Officers later found a 14-year-old in connection with the threat and placed him into protective custody.
Drees said there is no further threat to the Hays community and that the teen acted alone.
The county attorney did not go into detail on the exact nature of the threat.
No charges have been filed.
