TPD seeking suspect in Quick Stop armed robbery

TOPEKA (WIBW) -- Investigators have released a description of the suspect who tried robbing a south Topeka convenience store late Monday night.

According to the Topeka Police Dept., officers responded to a local QuickStop around 11 p.m. They say the suspect went into the shop, in the 3100 block of SW 29th Street, carrying a shotgun and demanded cash.

However, the clerk refused to hand over any money and the suspect took off on foot.

He is described as a white man, between 5'8"-5'10" tall, wearing a black ski mask, a black jacket, blue jeans, and blue/gray tennis shoes.
