TPD: New details discovered after man was found shot

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka Police continue gathering details to determine what happened to a man who was found with a gunshot wound.

TPD says their officers were sent to the area of SE 6th and Lime around 9:05 p.m. Tuesday. When they arrived, they found a man lying on the ground and bleeding.

Officers helped the man until an ambulance arrived to take him to a local hospital. The victim's gunshot wound was not life-threatening.

Officers later determined the shooting had occurred at a home in the 1300 block of SE 6th.

TPD says the investigation is ongoing.
