WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) — The 21-year-old man accused of raping a 4-year-old girl at a Wichita YMCA has bonded out of jail.

Caleb Gaston was being held on $100,000 bond, 13 NEWS sister-station KWCH reports. He is due back in court on Feb. 15 for a preliminary hearing.

The Wichita Police Department Exploited and Missing Child Unit (EMCU) says the case is reported to have happened at the downtown YMCA, 402 N. Market on Jan. 29.

That same day, officers responded to a residence regarding a possible sexual assault involving a four-year-old female victim after she had been at the downtown Wichita YMCA.

The Greater Wichita YMCA said there were cameras recording in the KidZone area and additional staff present on the day of the alleged incident. Staff members were also in the process of reaching out to the parents of children who may have had contact with Gaston.
