Surveillance photos released in search for convenience store robbery

TOEPKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Shawnee Co. Sheriff's Office released two surveillance photographs from a Tuesday night convenience store robbery in hopes of locating the suspect.

According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies responded around 8:45 p.m. to reports of a robbery at the Viking BP, in the 4700 block of NW Hunters Ridge. The suspect reportedly entered the store and demanded money.

Investigators say he didn't display a weapon during the robbery. Afterwards, the robbery took off, heading northeast. A K-9 officer searched the area but lost the trail in the Hunters Ridge Apartment Complex parking lot.

The suspect is described as a white man, in his early-20's, standing 6'2" tall, and with a thin build. He was dressed in black and had his face covered.
