TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Small businesses in Kansas say they are reaching a record level of happiness.
The National Federation of Small Businesses says their optimism index increased in May to the second highest level in the survey's 45-year history.
Small businesses say they are happiest in compensation, profits and sales trends. Many of those business owners in Kansas say their optimism is in response to Washington politicians saying they will reduce taxes and create sensible regulations.
NFIB says this happiness leads to employers creating new jobs and raising wages.
