TOPEKA (WIBW) -- Elisia Frye, behind the lens, and in her own words:

"I am a junior at Shawnee Heights High. The photo (of a monarch butterfly) I submitted was to a contest I had been invited to enter for a possible Arts scholarship. I didn’t win, but still appreciated the opportunity given to me."

"I took the photograph as part of a class assignment. This was my second photography class. My first photography class was a TWHS. I’m not sure what studies I might want to further pursue, however I have found that I do enjoy taking photographs and I think I will continue it as a hobby. Overall, photography is an enjoyment to me and I hope it opens more doors for me in the future."
