TOPEKA (WIBW)--- The Shawnee County Sheriff's Office and other agencies broke-up a meth lab in Shawnee County.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation told 13 NEWS the Sheriff's Office asked for its assistance when they found parts of a meth lab around 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at 3247 Menoken Road.
It was one of two meth-related busts in northeast Kansas on Wednesday. The other was in Geary Co.
A KBI spokesperson told 13 NEWS the lab was spread throughout the five-acre property.
The KBI was on scene Wednesday, cleaning up and taking the chemicals away.
An agent on scene says he is seeing fewer meth labs in the area.
"Meth labs are something, that are still around, there not near as many as there were in years past. We're down into single digits per year which is great, when at one point we were up 100 a year," KBI Agent Doug Younger said.
There's no word if any arrests were made.
