TOPEKA- A semi and at least two cars are heavily charred after a fire broke out Friday morning at the I-70 Auto Auction.
Shawnee County Dispatch tells 13 News firefighters were called to the auto auction near Valencia Road around 7:15 a.m. on reports of flames coming from a semi car hauler.
Fire crews had the fire under control and were mopping up hot spots within an hour of arriving. Nobody was hurt, as nobody was near the semi at the time.
At least two vehicles and the semi were destroyed by fire.
Firefighters believe the fire was caused by faulty wiring. Damage estimates are pending.
