TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Construction at one of Topeka's busiest intersections will finished before Thanksgiving.
Crews were working Monday to install the new signal lights at SW 21st and Wanamaker Rd.
Topeka public works officials say all work will be done and traffic controls gone by the end of the day Wednesday, Nov. 22nd.
They say all concrete work is done and signal work is underway. Crews still need to finish sidewalks, ADA ramps and striping, plus put the top coat of asphalt on the south side of 21st, west of Wanamaker.
Work at the intersection began in summer 2016. It is part of a $4 million Wanamaker improvement project.
