(WIBW) -- The National Weather Service says a cattle building was destroyed by a possible tornado on Christmas Day.

It happened around 6 miles outside of Bucklin in Kiowa County at 10:35 Sunday morning.

According to the NWS, radar strongly suggested a brief tornado touch-down in that area, though the tornado has not been confirmed.

Another possible tornado struck near Greensburg at around 10:55 a.m. There was damage to a horse shed.

Kansas had never had a tornado or any severe weather recorded on Christmas Day since records began in 1955. The Storm Prediction Center says, since 1964, there have been 64 tornadoes reported nationwide on Christmas Day. Nearly all of them have been in the Southeast.

Update: National Weather Service has indicated 3 tornadoes confirmed tornadoes did touch down on Christmas Day, all EF0, the weakest kind with a possible 4th that hasn't been surveyed yet.
