2 suspects arrested after Colorado driver carjacked at a southeast Topeka gas station

TOPEKA (WIBW)-- Topeka Police say a woman was not harmed after she was carjacked at an Topeka gas station.

TPD says a Colorado driver stopped at the Phillips 66 at 2024 SE California to put air in her tire.

She told officers three people approached her, one brandished a weapon and stole her minivan.

This happened around 8:40 p.m.

TPD says the vehicle description was broadcast and a KHP Trooper spotted the vehicle eastbound on 6th street near Croco Road.

The trooper tried to pull over the vehicle, but the suspects fled.

Authorities say they made it to the west side of Lawrence before ditching the vehicle.

Two of the juvenile suspects were arrested on aggravated robbery charges. They've been booked in the Shawnee County Juvenile Detention Center.

TPD says other suspects in the case have been identified, and their investigation continues.
