TPD: Pedestrian struck by vehicle on I-70 may have been suicidal

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) — Eastbound traffic on I-70 is moving again Friday, after a pedestrian was struck on the Interstate.

Authorities say the person suffered minor injuries after being hit around 3:20 p.m., near the Adams interchange.

TPD told 13 NEWS they are working this incident as a possible suicide attempt.

Witnesses told officers the pedestrian stepped out in front of oncoming traffic.

Emergency crews closed off one eastbound lane from 8th Street through Adams.
