One dead in Pratt County crash involving two semis

PRATT COUNTY, Kan. (KWCH) -- One person died in a head-on collision involving two semis in Pratt County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol and the Pratt County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene of a crash on US-54.

Trooper Chad Crittenden says around 3:55 p.m. Wednesday, two semis crashed head-on on US-54 around MP 126, southwest of 120th Road.

Crittenden says one fatality has been confirmed.

Two occupants from the second vehicle were taken to the hospital. He did not have an updated on their condition.

The KHP Critical Highway Accident Response Team (CHART) responded to the scene of the crash.

The Kansas Department of Transportation says US-54 is closed three miles west of Cullison from SW 120th Ave. to SW 130th Ave. Both lanes are shut down due to a crash. Traffic is being rerouted.
